Yes, the title is pretty self-explanatory but I figured that in honor of the upcoming cooler months I’d highlight the five upcoming movies I’m excited to watch:
1. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (21 December 2011)
Directed by David Fincher, December’s guaranteed hit is based on Stieg Larsson’s trilogy where a journalist and a young hacker search for a woman who has been missing for the past forty years. Starring Rooney Mara in the most coveted role for the past decade, this suspenseful thriller is set to keep audiences on its toes.

2. The Muppets (23 November 2011)
Who else grew up with The Muppets? To say they were a huge part of my childhood is a major understatement and in the trusty hands of Jason Segel, I have no doubt that this will be a family classic for years to come. This film focuses on the Muppets reuniting to save their old theater from a greedy tycoon. Predictable? Absolutely, but there’s a sweet charm and humor to their return to the spotlight and I can’t wait to see the adventure unfold.

3. 50/50 (30 September 2011)
50/50 is based on screenwriter Will Reiser’s experiences with spinal cancer at age 25. It’s a buddy comedy, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen, that is both hilarious and affecting, something very few films achieve. From what I’ve heard, it’s a must-see movie of the year.

4. Like Crazy (28 October 2011)
For anyone who has ever gone through a long-distance relationship, this film is set to bring back some hard reminders of how difficult these can be. Starring Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence, Like Crazy is about a British college student who falls in love with an American and the difficulties they face when she is banned from the U.S. This is set to be a real tearjerker, or so I imagine.

5. The Adventures of Tintin (23 December 2011)
Directed by Steven Spielberg, this is a motion capture 3D film based on the beloved comic book character, Tintin. It’s the big budget, action packed adventure film that every Christmas needs to have.
